Hello friend, and welcome to my fall 2021 home tour!
This year I went for *gasps* white (surprise surprise!), with light touches of dusty pink, burnt red, and pastel orange. The best part of having a neutral based home is definitely how easy it is to transition from season to season, and not having to spend a ton of money changing things up 4 times a year.
Aside from the seasonal decor changes, there are also a few permanent changes in our home this fall. Even the smallest things can make a big difference, and an example of this is: my new couch legs! If you hop over to the summer 2021 home tour, you’ll see that I replaced the dark chocolate square legs with these new cream legs in a more romantic style. I also added a new cabinet to our living room this season, and a new side table as well. See if you can spot them as you take the tour!
You may also have noticed when you came to the blog today that the website got a revamp as well, with a new logo and colour scheme. I’m loving the new look, and I hope you are too!
Without further ado, let’s get exploring!

Well, there’s one more change in here you may notice – look on the dining table! You’ll see more of him soon…!

If you were following along with the blog last year, you may remember I taught you how to make your own velvet pumpkin decorations – this year I went all out and made myself 20 more! I love a cute plastic or ceramic pumpkin as much as the next person, but there is something so ‘levelled up’ about luxe fabric pumpkins with real pumpkin stems. Tap the photo below to check out my tutorial!
You can also visit the shop and purchase some that I made!

For me, seasonal decorating is all in the fine details. I printed this watercolour art print years ago, and use it in my decor every year. This year I taped it to this chalkboard easel that was a little DIY project as well (it used to be a black chalkboard, I painted it beige and added the flourishes).

Like I said before, all about those details!

I’m not usually one to get creative with colour, but I thought I’d try out a couple of plaid throws this year. Tap here for the one in the photo above.

Here’s a link to this cushion cover, it comes in a set of 4 pretty fall designs!

A closer look at the new sectional legs. They make me want to change out the legs on all my furniture!

These beautiful candle holders can be found here.

This brass rocking horse was a thrift find – I highly recommend checking out thrift stores for vintage pieces. They add so much depth and character to your home, not to mention the prices are nice!

Wreaths are always my favourite way to mark the changing seasons. Hence why I sell wreaths on the side!

This one I made last year intending to list it, but this year when I pulled it out of storage I couldn’t resist hanging it in our home for the season. Maybe next year it will go into the shop!

The delicate colour palette combined with the mini dusty teal pumpkins and pink thistles… I should have known I’d have a hard time parting with this one, it matches my home too well!

This side table is a new addition to our living room! And a great place to make vignette displays.

The more spindly the stems, the better in my opinion. I just love these velvet pumpkins!

A pastel floral arrangement gets a fall twist with the addition of a faux craft pumpkin stem!

Just me, popping in to say hello on the tour!

This armchair will probably be the next to get new legs…! In the meantime, it looks nice all dressed in white.

This year I was gifted a fall mini box from White Wood Cottage this season, and these candles from Baked Candle Co. were two of the goodies in it! I’ll be pointing out the others as we go, and let me tell you, you will not be disappointed! If you’re not following @whitewoodcottageco on Instagram yet, I would highly recommend it so you can snag a winter box. I know I’ll be watching for them to drop!

Again, these cute cushion covers can be found here.

I put together this little planter box using faux flowers and craft pumpkins from Michaels, and some foraged wheat, branches, and pinecones.

It’s hard not to focus on our massive TV that we bought last winter (myself, my husband, and my sister are all blind as bats and we finally caved for a TV we can all see!), but I still try to decorate our little fireplace area up. This year it was, you guessed it, velvet pumpkins! But also a sign from White Wood Cottage!

This was also in the fall mini box! So rustic and fun.

To the left we have a little ottoman I sometimes sit on when I’m cruising Instagram. For the sake of my home tour photos, I dolled it up with some oversized white pillows, a Dwell Home Shoppe (formerly PCB Home) throw, and another sign from White Wood Cottage.

How pretty is this one? I think this was my favourite item from the whole box!

The white, the pop of colour – just perfect.

Into the dining room!

Here’s another new piece I added over the summer – yet ANOTHER one of these white lattice rugs from Wayfair! Find it here. The one under my dining table is the 5’2″x7’6″, and I also have the 7’9″x10’10” in my living room and bedroom.

This little cutie patootie is Buddha, Danielle’s bengal cat!

He makes me smile endlessly. We absolutely love having him around, he’s such a joy!

Me again, popping by to see how you’re doing on the tour! Hope you’re enjoying!

To be honest with you, my tablescape this year just kind of fell into place! I recently bought this wooden 3-tiered tray as well as the 2 matching cake plates at HomeSense as I have something in mind for them this winter. I don’t have anywhere to store them in the meantime, so I popped them onto the table and well, the rest just followed! Faux pumpkins in an array of sizes and colours, a few pieces of eucalyptus, and other small accents turned this tray into a beautiful farmhouse style vignette for the season.

The mini white pumpkin on the top tier is also from White Wood Cottage, and funnily enough I already had the dusty green ones that match perfectly.

This tray is my favourite decor spot in our home for fall, and it’s easy to see why.

A Bath and Body Works candle or two is a must!

You can actually find this sweet little tea jar in my shop!

And these gorgeous lanterns are actually from my newest partnership with gift company Kate Aspen! If you live in America, I would advise shopping directly on Kate Aspen‘s website, and if you live in Canada like me, I would advise shopping with Kate Aspen on Amazon (to save on shipping!).

These lanterns quickly became a favourite of mine, I already can’t wait to style them for winter!

The aforementioned wooden cake stand! Can you believe they were only $14.99 each at HomeSense! I couldn’t either, that’s why I grabbed them as fast as I could and hoofed it to the checkout. I knew they wouldn’t be there if I came back later!

Dressed up my china cabinet a little with a ceramic bowl of green and gold pumpkins and gourds, and added more White Wood Cottage pumpkins to my iron candelabra.

A cute thrift find! I just need to add some flowers to this pretty wall hanger.

Bowls of things are such an easy way to add a dash of fall to your home.

Awwwww. Gotta have a few schmaltzy things in your home!

Now to the main attraction of my dining room this year….

This absolutely stunning sign art I was gifted from a wonderful small shop in Mackenzie, B.C. – Sweet Magnolia Designs!

Saying I’m in love with it is a bit of an understatement. It’s so charming!

Be sure to visit Jess on Instagram and give her a follow!

This pumpkin box is so funny – it’s a music box that had a bar of soap in it! The soap is long gone, but I bring the box out every year as a decor piece.

Along with my ceramic turkey!

It used to light up, but it doesn’t work anymore. Still adore it though!

Now this is a great tip – a vase full of candlesticks looks FANCY. Yet, you can achieve this look for $5 or less! If you don’t already have a vase and candlesticks sitting unused in your cupboard, simply hit up your nearest dollar store. Toss the sticks in the jar and you have a gorgeous display that looks super thoughtful.

Don’t forget the matching pillars!

This is another wreath I made last year that I couldn’t bear to list this year.

Loving me some warm neutrals lately!

Here’s the new cabinet I mentioned at the start of the tour! I painted this baby up from an orange wood colour, added crystal knobs and appliques, and voila! A whole new look and a great place to create vignettes. I am also enjoying using the bottom half for storage.

Another example of the candlesticks in a vessel – such a pretty idea!

I had been looking for vintage coupe glasses for months when I ran into these. They were 4 for $10! Can you believe that!? Another point for thrifting, my friends. I can’t wait to use these in some drink recipe posts in the future!

You can find these cheese markers in my online shop!

And this heart shaped bamboo board is another Kate Aspen find!

These were thrifted from my favourite Kelowna thrift store, Home Again Consignment. That’s also where my brass rocking horse was from, and a lot of my other decor items.

Find this bird spool decor here.

And this is our last White Wood Cottage piece from the fall box! This thistle branch elevated my new cabinet decor so much!

These french grain sack tea towels are simply too pretty to ever use. So folded and used as decor they will be! Grab a set of your own here.

These bird salt and pepper shakers are from Kate Aspen and can be found here. They make the cutest wedding gift!

I’m also partnered with the lovely White Haven Home, and you can find this sign in their shop here!

And last but not least, welcome to our bedroom! I always keep it very simple in here, I find I sleep better in a minimally decorated space. Plus it’s easier to keep the place where we sleep clean and dust free when there’s less to tidy!

A delicate garland over our bed and a pop of orange from a throw blanket in a basket was juuuust enough to make it feel like fall in here.

And it’s always fun to use fashion accessories as decor pieces! The hat on my bed is from West Von, an ethically certified company in Alberta, Canada! The one I have here is the Hallie Rancher hat in ‘Cloud’.

I spy another West Von hat! That one on the ladder is the Nova in ‘La Créme Nude’. Again, highly recommend for their ethical wool practices, competitive price point, and beautiful styles.

Another White Haven Home find. And it’s on sale!

My nightstand this season.

The handle on this pitcher was wrapped in jute, and one day I decided to find out what was under it – I wasn’t disappointed! I actually much prefer it without the twine! It just goes to show that you can adjust decor pieces any way you like. Add ribbon, remove it, paint things, strip things. It’s all about personal preference.

Find this gorgeous marble heart coaster here.

Here’s a link to the throw in the basket, I actually liked the quality so much I ordered it in a second neutral colour that I can keep out year round!

And of course, visit my shop to see what velvet pumpkins I currently have available.
