5 SIMPLE DECOR TIPS TO BRING FALL INTO YOUR HOME

Hey friend!

Do you love fall, but sometimes feel a little overwhelmed when it comes to decorating for the season? Fear not! I’ve compiled my 5 must-have’s for autumn for you today! The best part? They can all be found at your local mid-range home decor stores (or even your fave grocery store), they’re all affordable, and they’re all SUPER fall!

Scroll on, to find out what I’m setting out in my home as soon as that first crunchy leaf hits the sidewalk:

1. PUMPKINS, APPLES AND BOWL FILLERS

The most obvious first, of course! Pumpkins are a must, but you should also try out things like apples, gourds, pinecones, pomegranates, and anything else that feels ‘fall’ to you. Swipe through the slides above to see how I’ve used pumpkins and bowl fillers throughout my home. Don’t limit yourself to actual pumpkins either, you can also try art prints, pumpkin printed linens, and anything else pumpkin adorned.

2. WREATHS

As evidenced by my online shop, wreaths are just my all-time favourite. Buy them, make them, order them custom – whatever you want, they look fabulous anywhere you put them. And play around with sizes! From an XL wreath on your front door to a tiny wreath used as a candle ring, wreaths are so underrated (and so fun to play around with!).

3. TEXTILES

Linens and textiles are the coziest way to bring autumn to your doorstep! The most obvious ones are throw pillows and blankets, which I strongly encourage. But have you considered table runners, table cloths, placemats, napkins, even curtains? If not, you should! Explore these areas of the store and see what speaks to you. Swipe through the slides above to see what I’m using this year.

4. GARLANDS, FLORALS AND LEAVES

Foliage! Can’t have fall without crisp leaves now, can we? Try out garlands hung over beds and windows, woven along tablescapes and shelf displays, and leaves and embellishments to your existing faux flower arrangements to completely change the look for pennies. Word to the wise – white and ivory hydrangeas and dusty pink peonies work year round just by switching the leaves. Try green for spring and summer, beige and orange for fall, and glitter and snow crusted for winter.

5. LIGHTING AND CANDLES

And last but certainly not least, gotta have that mood lighting. Try candles in delicious scents (like pumpkin spice, caramel, and apple), strands of twinkle lights strewn everywhere, and put dimmers (or dimmer bulbs) on your lamps. Trust me, you’ll never go back after you upgrade your lighting.

And there you have it! 5 easy ways to bring the autumn season into your abode. Even if you don’t try them all, this can always be a jumping off point for you the next time you’re at the store and feeling overwhelmed by all the choices!
