Hello, beautiful friend!

Are you a Pillsbury Crescent lover, like me? I thought so! I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone that didn’t enjoy baking up some of these fun and easy croissant style pastries now and again.

My sister Danielle and I didn’t grow up with these, they were a coveted treat that we sometimes got at friends houses. I don’t know why we never thought to ask our parents to buy them, but as adults we quickly rectified that and started new traditions of our own! Now we make these delicious bites at Christmas, Easter, and whenever we’re feeling a little fancy for Sunday brunch.

Of course, with great power comes great responsibility – we love coming up with new ingredient combos to roll up inside these bad boys, and today I’m sharing 3 of our favourites with you!

Ham, apple & cheddar Crescents

  • Black Forest ham
  • Cheddar
  • Apple
  • Apple jelly
  • Butter
  • Sea salt

Brie, rosemary, & apricot Crescents

  • Brie
  • Rosemary
  • Apricot jelly
  • Butter
  • Sea salt

Chocolate & caramel Crescents

  • Dark chocolate bar
  • Dulce de leche
  • Icing sugar
  • Butter
  • Sea salt

First things first: pop that tube, and lay out your crescent rolls! There are 8 rolls per can, and you can make as many as you want. For this blog post, I made 24 (a can per flavour combo) – guess how many made it to the next morning? Spoiler alert – 0. 0 made it to the morning.

Next, add small amounts of each filling to the wide end of each crescent, as pictured below.

Roll those babies up, either sealing the ends or letting some of the ingredients poke out.

Lightly grease a standard baking sheet (the can says not to, but we are not afraid of butter in this house!), and place the rolls on it, leaving space for them to expand. Brush the tops with melted butter, and add a sprinkle of sea salt.

Bake at 375 for 11-13 minutes, and remove from the oven when they look like this:

Land stand 2 minutes before removing, so the cheese solidifies into that crispy, gooey deliciousness everyone will vie for. Sprinkle the chocolate & caramel crescents with the powdered sugar, and serve immediately.

Just add tea, and you have a tasty afternoon snack!

I hope you enjoyed these ideas for dressing up Pillsbury Crescent rolls! Let me know what you think over on Instagram or Facebook, I’d love to hear from you. And as always, drop your email in the box below to start receiving my posts straight to your inbox.

xo, Jamie
