If table decorating leaves you stumped, you are not alone – creating a cohesive tablescape can be quite the undertaking, and you never really know how it’s going to turn out! While that’s part of the fun, sometimes it’s nice to go into decorating for a holiday with a plan, and that’s just what you’ll get here today. I’ve partnered with Weddingstar, my favourite wedding, decor and gift company to design a swoon-worthy spring tablescape using some of their brand new decor pieces!
I’ve incorporated a few of my own decor pieces of course, but this tablescape was largely inspired by Weddingstar’s new woven products, including the lantern and votive candle holders. I think the overall look turned out to be fresh, nostalgic, with just a touch of palm springs kitsch. In other words, it may be my favourite tablescape EVER.

To start your tablescape, you’ll first need a tablecloth and runner, both washed and ironed. Trust me and don’t skip the iron – a smooth cloth really adds to the overall effect of your table and makes it that much more polished. Set your dishes and cutlery, and add a little something-something to each setting…

Perhaps a napkin folded into bunny ears! Add decorative eggs, chocolates, place cards, and any other fun items you like.

Instead of laying your cutlery flat, try layering them and tying them with a gauzy ribbon like shown above. Very whimsical for spring, and especially for an Easter celebration.

Add mood lighting in the form of lanterns, candles, or even string lights.

We can’t forget the glassware. My all-time favourite’s are Weddingstar’s Vintage Pressed line, they come in 2 shapes and 5 colours. Perhaps give each adult guest a goblet for water, and a flute for mimosas…!

Fresh flowers are a must! For spring I like to dress the table with tulips, lilies, and stocks, and I chose a tall, white ceramic pitcher for this display. I chose simplicity in an all-white palette, but don’t be afraid to go bold with fresh spring colours like pink, yellow and purple.

This pitcher was from HomeSense.

We needed at least one bunny, didn’t we? This one is from Michaels Craft store, with an added pompom ribbon from my ribbon collection.

This beautiful Hammered Gold Cheese set is coming soon to Weddingstar as well! I am in love, and you will be, too. Perfect for butter, cheese, and charcuterie.

Personalized napkins are a welcome touch to any table.

These GORGEOUS wooden gold trays are brand new to Weddingstar – aren’t they divine? While my first thought went to how great these would look to serve drinks on, my second thought? Devilled eggs! To make them food safe, lay down a piece of parchment paper or a square of plastic wrap and these trays would look beyond cute to serve devilled eggs on.

I hope this inspired you to get your table dressed up for Easter! And remember, all of these pieces transition perfectly season to season, so even if you don’t celebrate Easter don’t hesitate to place an order with Weddingstar today.
