Welcome to my 2020 Christmas Home Tour!
Please, grab a hot chocolate, snuggle up, and stay awhile. This year I finally purchased a flocked Christmas tree, or as I so lovingly call it, my ‘powder puff’ tree. It was the inspiration behind the rest of my decor, which I kept very light and airy this year. Think white, ivory, silver, and gold accents, loads of string lights, and the most delicate ornaments on every surface!
Enjoy the tour, I hope you find inspiration for your home here!

As always, I strive to keep my living room cozy, white, and plush all over!

That powder puff tree though! This tree is from Michaels, find it here. I will note that I added extra flock to it (there isn’t a tree on earth snowy enough for me!).

I have two of these fantastic metal urns – they’re from Weddingstar. Items like this are great because you can swap out the inner contents each season to make them work year round! Or leave them empty, they look beautiful any way.

Extra tall candle holders on the coffee table adds height to the centre of the room. I like adding tall/oversized items to my tables to prevent the room from looking like everything is ‘up against the walls’. Of course, if you have children and pets that might knock them over, maybe skip this idea!

Is there anything more Christmassy than snow globes (besides trees of course!)?

White fur, blown glass ornaments, and sparkle in on the menu this year!

Find my tutorial on how to make these monogrammed ornaments here. At just a few dollars apiece, these make great gifts and keepsakes for years to come!

A mirror behind the tree doubles the magical twinkle lights! Well-placed mirrors are a clever way to make a room look bigger.

Find my tutorial on how to make your own winter terrariums here! It’s easy using glassware you already own, and a bag of sugar.

The newest addition to my living room is this gorgeous ottoman bench I’m using as a window seat. Find it here.

And this itty bitty ottoman was a secondhand treasure found at Home Again Consignment here in Kelowna!

A few greenery stems make a great ‘faux garland’!

Tuck the stems under a runner (or in my case, a lace scarf) to disguise them.

Terrariums everywhere!

This adorable gingerbread house was only $3 at a local dollar store!

I’m a big fan of ‘flanking’ decor. Buying two of the same pieces and placing them on either side of a mirror, your couch, or bed adds a nice finishing touch to a space.

I’ve had these white glitter reindeer for several years now, and I love displaying them! They seem to always work no matter what theme I do.

A banner is a great way to draw the eye upwards and make a room seem bigger. Just be sure that it starts at, or extra close to the ceiling.

Another Home Again Consignment find! I love this interesting candelabra. You can find some seriously unique pieces in thrift shops. Good for the planet and your style!

I’m also loving the ‘glitter house’ trend this year! I couldn’t afford a large one for $100+, but I managed to score two boxes of these mini houses at my local HomeSense.

I moved my workspace into my china cabinet to make room for my Christmas tree this year! Small space living, you have to get creative haha!

I still rearranged my china cabinet a bit to reflect the season, adding in snow globes and a few small pieces of greenery.

I like to let my dish collection stand out!

My kitchen is small, but I still like to add a little decor to my countertops!

My bedroom I kept very neutral this year. I love a clean, crisp white bedroom. I sleep better in a minimalist bedroom!

I added a touch of whimsy with these white lace pennant banners (leftover from my wedding!), and a pompom garland.

This Parisian style velvet tree is one of my favourite Christmas decorations. I put it in a new place every year, it’s very versatile!

I hope you enjoyed the tour! Let me know what your favourite room was below! And don’t forget to subscribe to the blog to allow me to keep bringing you new posts every month.
