HOLIDAY TABLE DECORATING WITH WEDDINGSTAR

Welcome back to the blog! I’m so glad you’re here, and I think you will be very soon, too. I have a gorgeous (and super simple!) tutorial planned for you today, one that you will easily be able to recreate in your own home. Of course, that is decorating your dining table for your holiday dinners!

Luckily for me, I had a little help, thanks to my friends at Weddingstar. Using several of my favourite Weddingstar products, I have put together this elegant, yet fun and whimsical table display that you’ll be loving all December long.

In case you missed it, Weddingstar is one of my newest partnerships. This is a fantastic company I’m thrilled to have teamed up with! They are a lifestyle and wedding decor and gift brand, based in Dunmore, A.B. They have, oh… every single personalized white, pink and rose gold lifestyle piece you could ever want! Sounds like a pretty perfect match for my style, hey? And we have a treat for you, too! Please enjoy code JAMIE10 for 10% off of your orders!

And as I love to do whenever I can, I have paired this post with a local wine feature from the one-and-only Sandhill Wines! More on this pick further down, so make sure you read to the end!

I’m so excited to share this look with you, so let’s dive in. Remember to pin as you go so you can easily come back to this post later from your Pinterest boards!

Let’s take a look at the Weddingstar pieces we incorporated into this look, shall we:

Antique Chic Personalized Paper Place Mat – Floral Frame, $1.53, available in 3 styles. I SWOONED for these place mats when I saw them! I just HAD to get the floral and table setting patterns. There was no way I could decide on just one! My favourite thing about these is that you get to choose all of the writing on them and make them your own. You can make them any theme you want! For mine, I chose to use a pet name we affectionately call our home, the ‘Krause House’. I also added the ‘Sip, Savour, Celebrate’ – please feel free to borrow this for yours if you like.

How funny is it that my own silverware matched the ‘Table Setting’ themed mat so well!

Laser Expressions Small Oval Baroque Frame Folded Place Card, $1.99-$2.98. Available in 2 colours. These place cards are insanely affordable for how gorgeous they are – just $.17-$.25 apiece! I ordered 8 of each and I already know I’ll be ordering them again. Side bonus – their eye-catching design is sure to be a conversation-starter amongst your guests!

Small Oval Baroque Frame – Gold, $11.99. However, if you want to level up your place cards, here’s a great option! These beautiful gold frames can be used over and over again and are perfect for ‘fancy’ dinners. Here are a couple more place card holder ideas as well below.

Vintage Style Pressed Glass Wine Goblet – Clear, $11.99, available in 5 colours. Also available in champagne flutes! These goblets are the talk of the town – and by town, I mean Pinterest wedding boards! It’s unlikely that you haven’t seen them yet if you are a Pinterest lover, like me. And now you know where to buy them (and for 10% off using JAMIE10 *wink*)! The blue has been especially popular this wedding season, combined with gold details. And of course, you can’t go wrong with pink!

Small Glass Globe Votive Holder With Reflective Lace Pattern – Peach, $14.99 (set of 6). I love how these peach and daiquiri green globes are a subtle play on classic red and green decor! But with a pastel, ‘Jamie’ twist, because, well, pastels or bust over here! They also come in lavender if you love purple, I think those will be next on my list.

Large Glass Globe Votive Holder With Reflective Lace Pattern – Daiquiri Green, $11.92 (set of 4). I absolutely love the minty-aqua colour of these globes. One of the perks of using ‘every day’ decor in your holiday decor is that you can keep it out year round. As I live in a rental that is lacking in storage, a lot of the pieces I bring in need to work double-duty in my home. I know I can’t be alone here!

Woven into a fluffy, natural green garland, the warm glow from these globes is a breath of fresh air. Who knew winter decor could be so refreshing?

Here are some more ideas for decorating your holiday table this season:

Velvet Table Runner – Ivory White, $16.99, available in 4 colours. These gorgeous velvet runners would add warmth and softness to any holiday table setting.

Modern Sparkle Sequin Table Runner – Metallic Gold, $17.99, available in 3 colours. Or how about adding a bit of glitz with one of these sequinned numbers?

Small Gold Cake Or Pie Server, $13.99. If you want to add some ‘wow’ to dessert without breaking the bank, snag this pretty little gold server! Or, you know, treat yourself to a gorgeous full set from the choices below.

Cake Serving Set – Classic Gold Romance, $54.99, Vintage Inspired Silver Cake Serving Set, $65.99.

Oval Baroque Standing Frame – Gold, $29.99, available in 2 styles. Similar to the place card frame I suggested before, these would make a great addition to your table, but just as decor piece nestled into the garland. Or you could adorn your bar area with them as seen below!

Shabby Chic Spindle Candle Holder Set, $52.99. These are my absolutely FAVOURITES. I actually have two sets! If you wanted to add some height to your table, this is the way to go. Snag some candles below to complete the look.

Modern Tiered Taper Candle Holders – Black & Gold – Set Of 2, $32.99. Into a more upscale, modern vibe? Say no more, we’ve got you covered with these sleek black and gold taper holders.

Wine Bottle Stopper Favour Snowflake Design, $3.99. Dainty Gold Bow Bottle Stopper, $25.99 (set of 6). And last but not least, send your guests home with some cute favours to remember their lovely evening with you.

Which would go perfectly with a bottle of Sandhill Wines 2019 Cabernet Franc! We love to pick out a nice bottle of local wine to have with special dinners, and this is what you can find us sipping at our home this season. This rich, and earthy red is a perfect pick to pair with your holiday dinners.

Here is a description of the 2019 Cabernet Franc, courtesy of Sandhillwines.ca:

• Deep garnet colour with an aromatic bouquet of smokey oak, cedar box, black pepper and tobacco leaf, with fruit notes of wild strawberry, dark plum and blueberry.
• This is a medium to full-bodied wine with firm drying tannins and moderate acidity.
• Wonderful fruit flavours of red and black berries are accented by notes of spice and smokey oak.
• Black tea, black licorice, spice box, currant and blackberry notes linger on the extra dry finish.
• Enjoy with rosemary lamb chops; red meats prepared medium-rare; pot roast with root vegetables; peppercorn steak; beef brisket; beef stews; grilled Portobello mushroom; three-year-old Canadian cheddar.

We cannot WAIT to open this on December 25th, and Tristan, Danielle and I will be sure to share our thoughts with you. If you’d like to try it as well, find the link to buy it here.

Bonus, it looks beautiful in your bar area with Weddingstar’s Copper Cocktail Shaker and Personalized Copper Stemless Wine Glasses.

Let the holiday festivities begin! Thank you so much for joining us today, I hope you love the final look of this table. And a huge thank you to Weddingstar for partnering with me this holiday season. This is our third, and final post of December – but we’ll be back with more inspiration next year…! Give Weddingstar a follow on IG to stay up to date on new launches, sales, and more!

xo, Jamie
