DIY HOT CHOCOLATE STATION WITH WEDDINGSTAR

Hello there, friend!

There is one thing no holiday season is complete without: the best winter beverages! We’re talking mulled wine, steeped in orange peel and clove, homey and comforting apple cider, chilled red and white sangria fragrant with fresh rosemary, candy cane garnished peppermint mochas, and, of course… hot chocolate, with all the fixings!

Make it a December to remember by setting up your very own hot chocolate station, featuring the one-of-a-kind products from Weddingstar. Weddingstar has all of the winter wonderland products you could ask for, including holiday printed enamel mugs, lidded glass pedestal vases, candy scoops, personalized foil napkins, and more. Stocking up on this company’s unique decor pieces will make this a Christmas tradition you’ll look forward to year after year.

Christmas is like hot chocolate; traditional, sweet, and makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside!

Okay, let’s get into it!

Read on, for step-by-step instructions guiding you through this tutorial. Get ready to ‘add to cart’, for all of the shopping information can be found linked along the way…!

DIY HOT CHOCOLATE STATION AT HOME

with Weddingstar!

The first thing you’ll need to do is designate an area for your hot chocolate station. Choose a spot that won’t impede on daily life, and will enhance your living space. After all, half the fun in having a hot chocolate station decked out in your Christmas finery? Getting to enjoy the beautiful view, while sipping on your cup of cocoa.

After you’ve chosen your spot, you will need a few receptacles for your hot chocolate ingredients. We prefer glass vessels, like the lidded apothecary vases below, so that you can see the ingredients inside. However, if you prefer something opaque, try out ceramic jars with chalk labels indicating each containers contents. Three containers is usually a good number to start with; one for instant hot chocolate powder, another for marshmallows, and a third for candy and/or candy canes. Vases also do the trick for wrapped ingredients like chocolates!

2. SWEETIE CANDY SCOOPS

Next, add scoops! Small, metal dry ingredient or coffee scoops work best (and look the cutest). Tuck them directly into the jars so they’re always there when you need them.

Our favourite part – mugs! Set out your favourites, and be sure to add in a few seasonal ones. Weddingstar carries a huge variety of high-quality enamel, ceramic, glass, and copper mugs. They feature designs such as wreath monograms, snowflakes, and holiday quotes, and you can add your families names, special dates, or initials to them, as well!

Though not necessarily a ‘hot chocolate’ item, here’s a clever idea: add a blender and straws to your station, and you’ve created the option for ‘frozen hot chocolates’! Simply add ice along with your milk, and instead of marshmallows? Top with whipped cream and a dusting of cocoa powder!

8. PATTERNED PAPER STRAWS

And now, for the finishing touch to your hot chocolate station: holiday theme foil-printed napkins, customized wth your family’s name. Side bonus – you can use any extras for your holiday parties and Christmas dinner!
